    Holding Ground

    Hi all,
Just a query to the other off-road users in the group regarding the Disco remaining stationary whilst on a steep slope.
Brother has a Freelander about 3 years old (auto)and when on very steep inclines it holds its ground without rolling back with foot off the brake pedal.
I've tried this in my Disco TD5 auto and I'm off backwards in a flash.
Is this normal for the disco .. maybe due to its weight?

Hill holder. Subaru had it as an option aeons ago. Very useful when you have it, I doubt it can be retrofitted.

it can be retrofitted, just not legally without major engineering approval work.
