Key Works Intermittently
I have 199 Disco 2 and the key only works after giving it a tap on the bull bar, I have replaced the battery in case that was the fault, still have the problem. If I get a new key would anyone know how I could re-programme it without the expence of going to the dealers.

My bet is that the button needs to be resoldered on. You are having similar problems as to what I had. Took key remote apart and found that the solder for the switch was broken - re soldered and has been working faultlessly for 3 or 4 years now.Originally Posted by bellmore
