Mine was also leaking, I fixed it myself, used two gaskets each side with exhaust paste.
When I picked up my D2 it had a leak from the RHS exhaust flange (between manifold and pipe)so I had the gaskets for both sides replaced. The RHS one was burnt out. Within 200km the leak returned so I went back to the exhaust shop and he retightened the nuts and added some lock nuts now 500km later it's leaking again.
The exhaust guy reckons the LR studs are too small and are easily loosened also he thinks there should be a flex joint on one side. I'm reluctant to give him more money based on theories.
Anyone had similar problems?
Anyone know the fix?

I was told explicitly NOT to use exhaust paste on those gaskets, in case any gets in your cats, it could cause bigger probs.
Anyone's thoughts....??

Exhaust paste and anything non-combustible will stay in the cat and block it. Not a good idea. The best way to seal the exhaust is to remove the whole front pipe assembly, critically inspect the exhaust flanges. If they are bent around the studs use a shifter to bend the stud areas down. Finally file off any high points. The only way to make sure it fits properly.

I have the same problem. I have now had a look and the flange has cracked off from the pipe. I had it re-welded and as usual they did a bad job, the welding was not strong enough and it broke off again. I will be removing the pipe again and have it welded properly. I also use exhaust paste. The cats were removed before I got her.
had similar probs with mine but the flange bolts either snapped or stripped so i eliminated the whole shebang and just replaced the whole system on mine with extractors, cats and single muffler. Sounds heaps better (if only i could hear it over the angry mrs beancounter)
