Yea they were leaking, Disco is up on stands awaiting the new set ( Dunlops ) hopefully Tuesday they should get here cheers to the Airbag Man. Pays to shop around too got em for $295 each and was quoted $600 each and $420 from another mob. Pity I dont have the time wait, they are only 68 squid in the UK.

Cant believe I payed to have this done last time round tho, hardest part of changing them is finding enough dunnage to stack under the chassis stands lol.

Anyone played with hawkeye? I've only read poor reports on other forums..

    Hi

In reply to your inquiry regarding the replacement for Nanocom. This unit is still on the drawing board. ( it was due for launch at the end of May ) I have been regular contact with the manufacturer in Italy but can get no definite release date for this new product. The supposed coverage will remain TD5,P38 & Defender L316. Only one application will be available at purchase.Others will be by separate license.

Bearmach have launched their own diagnostic product "Haweye". It has the same capability as Nanocom*** with the advantage of not being TD5 dedicated plus a lot more. The coverage of the unit is all Land Rover vehicles up to 2010. The firmware is original Land Rover Test Book (T4) and has not been reversed engineered. The unit is manufactured in the U.K with product support via this office Monday to Friday. The unit is currently at version "4" with further upgrades planned for release in early 2011. These will include coverage of 2010 on vehicles and a professional application package. Some items that this will include are, adaptation reset,HVAC, suspension calibration and becm/ecu/bcu configuration to name a few.

I have attached the current application list for you to view. Also please go to our website (www.bearmach.com) under downloads where you will find the Hawkeye manual. You will notice that we do not distinguish between engine or body configuration in any of the vehicle applications. An example is Discover II where all engines are covered It is also worth noting that the tool is not chassis dedicated.

I have in the past made contact with one or two Australian Land Rover clubs in regard to Hawkeye. There seemed to be little interest from any branch committee.

*** Hawkeye does not have memory and is unable to remap ecu's.

I hope this is of interest

    Kind regards
    Clive Myall
This is my dilemma. Hawkeye will serve my D2 and RRC but as I will be chipping the D2, can't help with the remap function. Will need to buy additional licence to access both vehicles plus buy leads to suit the Rangie.
Current nanocom will serve my D2, but the RRC will be left out cold. No single user licence means I can help out other TD5 owners. Old tech, not to flashy but can be used on any other TD5.

New nanocom, looks fantastic, great display but single licence, won't access RRC, will be single licence, is still not available, have no information on it, no pricing on it and I have a feeling it's going to have that butt ugly db9 connector hanging out the side.....

    Aaaarrrrggghhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!
