    Diagnostic Devices - DashDaq

Has anyone plugged a DashDaq into a Defender TD5 with any success?

The manufacturer's website lists 'Land Rover' in its compatibility list however it doesn't stipulate which models. After contacting them I was advised the Defender TD5 hasn't been tested yet but were sure that it would communicate with the ECU but couldn't confirm which parameters could be read.

I understand the OBD-II protocol is a bit 'different' so only a handfull of diagnostic tools work with the TD5.

It's OBD2. If a LR vehicle is OBD2 compliant then maybe just get the necessary iPhone or Android app? https://market.android.com/details?i...3JxdWVmcmVlIl0.

So by the time you buy the unit and an iphone or a Ipad, you could have bought a Hawkeye or similar that does the job

Was looking at it more as additional gauges than a diagnostic tool. Bit like a Scangauge II only bigger display & better. I think. Looked at the Scangauge II but for my eye's figures too small.
