P1668 BCU serial link timeout fault

Our Discovery II V8 engine spins over but fails to start.

The following fault comes up on the Bearmach Hawkeye diagnostic tool:

Fault 148 P1668 Anti-Theft Alarm System BCU/BeCM Serial Link Timeout Maximum Value Exceeded. Immobiliser signal- CAN data bus.

Has anyone been able to rectify this problem?

    Key fob battery

Hi Andrew, we also thought that, but have recently replaced the battery in the key fob. However, the fault still occurs. LRT
