    Hiya guys

We have not changed anything in the SLABS module at all on the Evolution software, however a few routines may have been affected by some timing changes to global sub routines which we have tweaked between versions.

With three of you seeing this same "pump monitor line" fault code, which has to be said is not something you would not normally expect to get, it certainly does sound like it's a ghost code.

Rob, Did you see this pump monitor line fault as well as the "right hand front abs sensor" on the later firmwares?

I will of course look into this more deeply

    madtom;
Thanks for that bit of input, i hope it explains dror7's problem.

Our MSV-2 does not work off the sticker and requires the full bar code to be entered that you get with a new key, or the same full code read from the BCU before replacing it, which might explain our not encountering this before.

The SLABS ghost fault doesn't seem to occur in the One v2.08 update (or earlier versions for that matter). I've checked two D2's in the past week and one has no faults, the other a recurring low sensor output fault which is triggering the 3 amigos.

    cheers

Colin, no the "RHF abs sensor" fault no longer shows up even though I have confirmed that that is the cause of the 3 amigos, must be a strange bug in the software considering you didn't modify that area in the last updates.

Not sure if anyone has the prob but my Nanocom Evo2 locks up when I exit the Inputs (pressures or general) menu on the Auto Gearbox.
I then have to remove power and restart to get it back up and running.
Not a big deal but am I the only one experiencing this??

    Cheers,

    Rob

Colin, see my post here about this problem. http://www.aulro.com/afvb/electronic...ml#post1573638

I did notice that the screen where it actually shows the voltage for the pump monitor line was actually showing 0v the other night after I updated to v1.03.
Will duck out at lunchtime and take a pic of the screen for you.

    300 TDi disco alarm

Hi Colin could you make it possible to look at Disco TDI alarm ecu, i have a lot of problems with faults and unknown EKA codes, The Bosch EDC ecu would be a bonus,

    Quick vid link to YouTube.
I had already cleared SLABS fault code but was same as in previous link.

Shows pump monitor line output and fault info coming up.

    Hiya Andrew

I had actually seen your post, and i must apologize for then allowing it to slip my mind, I guess i was so focused on the other problems.

Thanks for the Vid, it actually helps quite a lot, as something is definitely not quite right there somehow. I am starting to think it's simply some variable not being reset. Hopefully it will be an easy fix and another step towards getting this fully sorted. I do believe we are getting there and sorting more problems than are popping up.
Was the pump line voltage showing something other than zero prior to upgrading to 1.03?

Thanks for confirming it is not happening on the Nanocom one's. although it's similar to the Autobox clutch Ghost fault, i think the cause is actually something different than procedural handling, so does not affect both.

    Anthony

Although the Nanocom does not currently support the Disco 1, it does already cover the Lucas 10AS alarm, as it is fitted to the Defender TD5 and Puma, and as mentioned in my blog, we are in the last stages of testing software for the Evolution to cover all the ECU's fitted in the P38, including GEMS, Motronic and EDC engine managements and the Wabco C type ECU and the MPS Type one Airbag.

Although most of these systems are a bit different, EG Motronic for P38 is a bit different to Motronic for Disco II, There is enough cross over that it would not be that hard to consider adding some coverage of Discovery 1's. I have already figured that we will be able to add V8 powered Defenders, eg 50th anniversary.

I honestly never looked or noticed the 1.02 version readout.

    From the BBS website:

Pump monitor: This shows the voltage being measured at the ABS pump relay by the SLABS ECU. When driven, the voltage at the pump should be around 2.9 to 3.8 Volts and when not being driven, it should be around 0 to 0.2 Volts.

Pump relay: This shows the voltage being applied to the ABS pump relay by the SLABS ECU. When driven, the voltage should be around 2.8 to 3.6 Volts and when not being driven, should be around 0 to 0.5 Volts.
It looks like those values are correct in the screen shots. The Relay will only be driven when the SLABS is operating in active mode (HDC, ETC) or ABS braking mode.

Which opens up another problem, as soon as you start it and try and drive away, you get the comms failure warning and no figures. This has been an issue dating right back to the first Nanocoms. Any live data other than the instrument mode has never worked for more than a minute at the most before it dies.
