SubscriberHi all, I bought a hawkeye during the week and it came with a version 5 update disk. The unlock code was for the version 5 so I need to update the software, but first I need a power cord $#%£! And guess what they need to order one from the UK!.....anyway does anybody have a power cord? If so can you let me know the output power so that I can prehaps buy a generic one from dick smith or similar?? Without it I can't do a power bleed and she is stuck in the shed :-( for another week or more.

a power cord and you'll also need a cable to connect it to a PC to do the upgrade.
When I bought mine from the UK, i was told I needed to spend the extra $35 pound for the cable to connect to the vehicle. We it arrived I received the cable as standard with the unit and paid for the same cable.
I emailed the UK parts place and they said "Oh we didn't know it came with a cable". So $70 down the drain for me, but still worked out marginally cheaper than Aussie suppliers

SubscriberThanks for that. I worked out that I could use the laptop to upgrade the software while getting power from the OBDII port. All sorted. Upgraded the software and cleared the codes. All good for now.
