    faultmate msv2 diag discovery 4ltr v8

    I have this constant miss on number 3, so far i have done a compression test on number 3 155 psi dry,so i am happy with this,changed the plug the old one had black sooty deposits however the plug was dry shouldn't a miss firing plug be wet ,

    cleared the faults with the msv2 drove around the block and the miss returned,have ordered 2 new o2 sensors,a set of plug leads,2x coils,a maf, as all three items are of unknown age,can someone tell me what the number 4 is [lambda sensor heater] and explain what is meant as drive cycle "c".

    THE MOTRONIC FAULT CODE MEMORY CONTAINS CODES FOR THE FOLLOWING CURRENT FAULTS -:

    1. P0134 = LAMBDA SENSOR UPSTREAM CATALYST BANK 1 DRIVE CYCLE C, WHICH HAS OCCURED ONCE(SIGNAL MISSING, THE FAULT IS CURRENTLY PRESENT, THIS FAULT CAUSES MIL LAMP ACTIVATION, THE FAULT HAS BEEN DETERMINED AS PERSISTENTLY PRESENT).


    2. P1000 = LAMBDA SENSOR UPSTREAM CATALYST BANK 2 DRIVE CYCLE C, WHICH HAS OCCURED 2 TIMES (SIGNAL INVALID, THE FAULT IS CURRENTLY PRESENT, THIS FAULT CAUSES MIL LAMP ACTIVATION, THE FAULT HAS BEEN DETERMINED AS INTERMITTENT).


    3. P0135 = OXYGEN SENSOR HEATER UPSTREAM CATATALYST BANK 1 DRIVE CYCLE C, WHICH HAS OCCURED ONCE (SIGNAL TOO LOW, THE FAULT IS CURRENTLY PRESENT, THIS FAULT CAUSES MIL LAMP ACTIVATION, THE FAULT HAS BEEN DETERMINED AS PERSISTENTLY PRESENT).


    4. P0155 = LAMBDA SENSOR HEATER UPSTREAM CATALYST BANK 2 DRIVE CYCLE C, WHICH HAS OCCURED ONCE (SIGNAL TOO LOW, THE FAULT IS CURRENTLY PRESENT, THIS FAULT CAUSES MIL LAMP ACTIVATION, THE FAULT HAS BEEN DETERMINED AS PERSISTENTLY PRESENT).


    5. P1300 = CATALYST DAMAGING MISFIRE MULTIPLE CYLINDERS DRIVE CYCLE C, WHICH HAS OCCURED 41 TIMES (SIGNAL TOO HIGH, THE FAULT IS CURRENTLY NOT PRESENT, THIS FAULT CAUSES MIL LAMP ACTIVATION, THE FAULT HAS BEEN DETERMINED AS INTERMITTENT).


    6. P0303 = CATALYST DAMAGING MISFIRE CYL 3 DRIVE CYCLE C, WHICH HAS OCCURED 41 TIMES (SIGNAL TOO HIGH, THE FAULT IS CURRENTLY NOT PRESENT, THIS FAULT CAUSES MIL LAMP ACTIVATION, THE FAULT HAS BEEN DETERMINED AS INTERMITTENT).


    7. P0300 = EMISSION RELEVANT MISFIRE MULTIPLE CYLINDERS DRIVE CYCLE C, WHICH HAS OCCURED ONCE (SIGNAL TOO HIGH, THE FAULT IS CURRENTLY PRESENT, THIS FAULT CAUSES MIL LAMP ACTIVATION, THE FAULT HAS BEEN DETERMINED AS PERSISTENTLY PRESENT).


    8. P1000 = EMISSION RELEVANT MISFIRE CYLINDER 3 DRIVE CYCLE C, WHICH HAS OCCURED ONCE (SIGNAL TOO HIGH, THE FAULT IS CURRENTLY PRESENT, THIS FAULT CAUSES MIL LAMP ACTIVATION, THE FAULT HAS BEEN DETERMINED AS PERSISTENTLY PRESENT).

    The attached P300 diagnostic flow might help track down the misfire. The P1xxx codes seem to be variants of the other codes and there isn't specific documentation for those.
