I had a scangauge in my RRS and worked great - I do not know what a Ultra gauge is so cannot comment on it.

Just had a quick look on the net and the ultra gauge seems impressive in price and it does what the Scan Gauge does plus more....but it seems bulky in comparison... the scan gauge is smaller and sits nicely on my dash (rather than the windscreen).

I already have the scangauge fitted in my Puma, but I have also ordered one of the Ultra gauges to compare it with the scangauge. The UG seems to offer more access to the available ECU inputs/outputs so should show all the information that the ECU reads, something the sacangauge cant do even with the addition of xgauge codes. It is also biased more towards the Ford PWM/CANSF/CAN 11 bit protocols so should be ideal for the PUMA, though the size of the unit doesn't look good for easy fitting. I should get it on Tuesday and will add it to the below post once I have had a good play with it, so to keep it altogether in one place

I have done a write up on the recently purchased UltraGauges options here: Defender2 - View topic - Ultra Gauge Fitted.

It is a shame that the display is so chunky - already have enough things hanging off the dash - Scan gauge sits nicely on the top of the steering column.
