    I need a Nanocom teacher!

I bought a Nanocom Evolution for my TD5 Defender, primarilly to diagnose any engine/engine management problems and to use to monitor things like EGT and revs.
But I stuffed up big time not learning how to use it properly and triggered the car's immobiliser. A number of AULRO members were very helpful at the time but it required a 1200km trip on the back of a truck then a mechanic's dignostic equipment to set things straight again.
After all this strife I was going to sell the Nanocom but I've decided to get back on the horse instead.
Does anyone have some spare time to show me the first basic steps of using this equipment? The web site instructions are not written for people like me and do not seem to cover the problem I encountered.
I have emailed Blackbox with some questions but I'd feel much more confident with an experienced Nanocom user looking over my shoulder the next time I crank it up.
I commute regularly between Morley in Perth and Binningup, near Bunbury, and am happy to drive anywhere in the metro area or the south west for a lesson in diagnostics.
If you have the time and the knowledge of nanocom Evolutions for TD5 Defenders, please pm me. My car fridge will be full of cold beer for afterwards!

Careful Josh - your offer might become a full time job! I have your moniker and when I finally find the time (I'm trying to retire), might PM you, assuming the principles apply to a TD5 Disco - can't see why not.

Thanks all. I'm in contact with Josh who lives a short distance from my fiancee's home in Perth and he's offered to make me a Nanocom expert. Thanks for your offer, Dave - it's great to have support from both ends of the continent!

I use the term 'expert' loosely lol I am by no means an expert but have spent the last few months researching all things ecus and diagnostic as I had major dramas with my car and 2 bricked ecus.

I'm happy to help anyone out as I only learnt what I know through trial and error and from the other helpfull dudes here on AULRO who showed me when I needed help.

    Cheers
