Thread: Nanocom Evo issues

    Hi Colin,

It turns out I'm an idiot, I did have the code wrong.

In my code for box 1, I thought I had a upper case i, then I realised (by copying and pasting into word) that it looked (almost) exactly like a 1. If since been informed, by Ronnie on the Nanocom forum, that it was not a 1 but a lower case L. Unfortunately the 1 and the lower case L look very similar in word, but not exactly the same.

I've entered the codes correctly now, and the Nanocom works fine.

Thank you for your response and all the other responses, now I can sort out my MAF sensor issues with this handy bit of kit.

    Cheers,

    Adam

    Hiya Adam

No worries, as i mentioned in my last post, you are not the first by a long way and i very much doubt you will be the last

Yes, some particular characters can look very similar, even in word etc. Especially if they are a bit small, Hence we write in the FAQ

If you are uncertain of the code you see which may be due to the actual fonts used by your PC/Laptop, then copy and paste the code into a program such as MS Word and then enlarge it and change the fonts to one that makes the digits readable to you. Type in what YOU think the code is and compare it to the one shown.
At least you were open and willing enough to be helped. Amazingly, despite the FAQ containing the solution and advice required to help owners figure out every single Code entry related problem we have ever seen, some refuse to go there and read it, imagining they are being fobbed off by being directed there and remaining utterly convinced they have been supplied the wrong code.

Anyway, i am glad you are now sorted and your thanks is appreciated
