I have seen the beautiful work you have done about td5 ecu. I love this motor but ther's one thing I really hate... the turbo limit!!! If i change the map sensor with the same bosch 350kPa can I overboost my def??? what do you think about???
You can override this buy getting a boost box from Alive in the UK or TD5inside is euorpe.

I am sorry but I try to find adifferent way to do this. If install the.boost box the ecu read an alterd signal and the injection could be not optimally. If change the map sensor with a wide range.the ecu.could read a signal more.than original, because the limit of original it's 1.4 atm.
Guys I really ask sorry for my english but I don't write in this linguage from I left school maaaaaaany years ago.

I read yesterday alive tuning in the uk have worked out a way to use a different map sensor and a software change. This allowed higher boost without a boosr box. Maybe contact them?

Last night I spoke with Gary and told me that they can change the software and set the limit dell'overboost where they want. Except that obviously would block the ecu and would no longer flashable. Wait for the end of the interventions I intend to do to figure out what I really want in terms of mapping and delegate work.

    Hi all,

There are a lot of options for both the MAP and the MAF sensor from the VAG group. We a have tried them in the past with the electronics to match, so what has poped up in the last days regarding this subject its not exactly new to us

There is a lot to choose from:

Engine Parts - Sensors and Solenoids - Darkside Developments

Nevertheless, if the remap file is well made, the only thing the boost box is gona make is to stop the limp mode action... the injection will be exactly what the map will ask her to be

    Regards,

Did I just read that correctly?
Resetting the boost cut stops the ecu from being reflashable?
That is the biggest load of rubbish I have ever heared.
When the ecu is to be flashed the ecu receives a command to put it in a bootloader mode. A bit like doing a software upgrade on your mobile phone.
So it resets, goes into bootloader and reflashes the variant and fuel maps if using a nanocom.
Then when you ignition off and back on the ECU boots as normal.
Also remember the NNN TD5 ecu can be brought back to life from a bad reflash non boot situation without desoldering using a special tool that I know Gary has, so even with a totally dead ecu you can reflash it.
The boost cut will not stop the ECU from being reflashed either by the OBD port or special tool... Ever.

    He's having you on.
