    Talking D1's, what & where?

Ok, I've searched but haven't had much luck in this,
    D1 - what system(s) & where are the plugs?
In particular for me, V8 1996 April build.
I've looked under the dash & along kick board near door & no go as said in a searched post from 2006
    Thanks

If you are really, really lucky, you may find an ODB2 style connector by your left knee under the driver's side of the dashboard.

However, I'm pretty sure it doesn't work to OBD2 standards, so if you do find one, you won't get anything useful out of it.

From what I've read and been told (my mate has a late '96), some '96s did have the connector, and they were more or less standard from there on. Not that it helps you, but my '98 does have it.
