    Dash Command on P38

    Hi

I have successfully connected DashCommand on my iPad and iPhone to a generic eBay sourced ELM 327 wi-fi ODB dongle.

It read all my engine codes, and came up with a P1669 (E-Box Fan) error which it didn't understand but it successfully reset the codes.

Of course it doesn't read EAS or ABS codes, but it still provides a wealth of information on the engine including MAF airflow.

It also checks lost of stuff like oxygen sensors etc.

So for around 80 bucks all up I have a useful tool

    Question Dashcommand

    Hi Steve,
    I also have a P38, make 1995 2.5 DSE.
I already bought the Dashcommand and are using it with my Toyota.
I live in France, unfortunately I can't find the correct data to put in the Dashcommand.
    Could you please help me?
Especially the drive gear ratio, but if you could post everything that would be perfect

    Yours,
    Peter

When you say "drive gear ratio", do you mean the differential gear ratio (3.54:1) or the ratios of each gear in the gearbox?

If the latter, is yours auto or manual?

Also, diesels were never sold here.

    Hi Peter

Most of what I set up I got from the owners manual or from RAVE.

I have not entered the final drive ratios at all.

    I entered

    Fuel tank capacity 110L

Kerb weight (curb weight to them) 2750KG

    Tyre size 255/65/R16

    Max RPM 5500

    Min RPM 500

    Good luck

    Steve

That seems high for the kerb weight. I though that was the gross weight.
