Disco 4 year 2013 diagnostics tools

    Hi

I'm expecting a new Disco 4 to arrive in mid July and I'd like to keep a diagnostics tool at hand in the vehicle mainly to read and clear faults. I guess it's as far as you want to go with a Disco 4.

What are the options out there ? Does anyone have personal experience to share ?

    Appreciate your comments.

I have a Gap IIDTool. I bought it for my Disco 3 and upgraded it to the 4. It is still only in Beta testing at this stage for the 4. Happy with it so far but haven't had much need for it yet on the 4.

It reads and clears faults. It can also calibrate the suspension and modify the CCF file.

    Thanks guys

    Thanks for the comments.

Good to know they are realising the potential of mobile technology (iPhone, iPod, iPad, etc.)

Also good to know you can calibrate the suspention, etc.

    Thanks again

The cover isn't too badly priced - $150-200 depending on where you buy from.

I guess the big question is how much do they charge for a vehicle unlock?

I've attached the current LR support chart. I'm impressed they have at least some support for the D2 although it's a bit patchy in some areas.

No support for models after 2011 listed however.

There are a couple of updates after the one listed with some later support. The only potential issue is the vehicle licenses are apparently for a 12 month period so you have to keep renewing.

Just off the phone from Launch Australia. The iDiag will be available from them in about 8 weeks for $109 + gst. All vehicle unlocks are $66 for 12 months.

    Cheers
