I remember reading of a R.A.C roadside mechanic the used to hit the fuel tank with a rubber mallet where the fuel pump sits and had some success in getting TD5 mobile.
Sounds out there , but anything is worth a try.

+ - 25 on the cylinder balance is a bad thing.
It should be + - in single digits at idle mine is usually + - 4 (its all pretty meaningless above idle)
You mention an incident then you have the issue try to reset the collision sensor I am pretty sure it would just shut the engine off but you never know.
Oil contamination at the red plug on the ECU this is probably the most common cause of TD5 missing.
If your fuel pump is dying its usually accompanied by noise from the pump the engine will run without the pump but it will be down on power
Also don't discount the Fuel Pump Relay they can play up giving weird results
You didn't put unleaded in it did you??

Just thought I'd give you guys an update. No idea where I'm getting service from but I'm 62km from Roma.
What does cylinder balance mean? My values are all over the place at idle and when under a bit of load cylinder 1 reads about -25 while cylinder 5 is over 30.
No definay not unleaded. It's doing well if it was. Unsure of the litres but $125 and now driven over 350km on the stuff.

What and where is the crash sensor and how do I reset it?

Defender or Discovery?
The cylinder balance is basically how much the computer is compensating for an imbalance in the cylinder dynamic.
Don't take any notice of it above idle its quite meaningless to my understanding

Just checked Rave I think the inertia sensor is on the firewall at the back of the engine bay on both vehicles.
I would doubt if its your problem but if you push the rubber boot on top of it it will reset it.
