Pump is defiantly running all the time.

Carpets up and cover off the pump. Now how does it come out of the tank?

Plastic screw cap on the top of the tank, screws onto tank and holds pump down, the 4 hoses are quick release off the fittings.

    Cheers Ean

Not sure if it's a Disco but on a Defender with a standard tank you unscrew the holding ring anti clock wise
You can undo it by carefully knocking it around with a screw driver but you need to be careful

    Fixed.

Tappet cover off. A wiggle of all the connectors and away she went. No problems.

I got booted from the driveway of the service station after I posted how do I remove the pump. On the way up the road I got the feeling it sounded like the same cylinder missing all the time. It wasn't random sounding. And given that I could still get it up to 100kph. I recon the pump must bd going ok.

Any way. If any one could see me now. I'm could be crying from excitement but I think it's more the diesel in my eyes off my hands.

Happy Days. Darwin here I come.

A massive thanks to all that offered there advise. I was really getting concerned given its a Saturday night and I'm 3000km from home.

With hindsight... makes sense. It was an impact of sorts (rought railway crossing) that started it off.... therefore it's most likely the Hair of the Dog would cure it.

    hi joel,

weird, if you have a dodgy injector plug then it will show up as an open circuit or peak charge long fault, nanocom didn't pick this?

glad you're back on the road

Well done Joel I remember Pete talking about crook connectors but I wouldn't have related hitting a bump causing the miss.
Hopefully the rest of the journey is trouble free

    Hey guys,

I got home last night (tide). The harness played up again about 80km south of Mataranka. I took the tappet cover of again and actually unplugged and plugged in each connector and that got me home all good.

I'm looking for a Harness now. And a spare furl pump, now I know it can be a problem and as far as I know, mine the original.

    Happy Days
