Its the MAF, whilst driving with nanocom, go to TD5 engine, enter, go to read fueling and go to the gr/h reading, if they are continuous 00000 i.e. no reading the MAF is dead. Do all usualy pin connector checks and a resistance check as outlined in other posts. Bottom line is if the nanocom gr/h is still zero, time to replace as I had to do this week. its a start to eliminate this and a cleanout of the maf mayhelp.

Hi Mousie
I have done as you explained and @ idle i have a reading of 0058.9 and @ 2000 rpm i have a reading of 0201.9 so it looks like the MAF is working but are these good readings or should i look at still replacing the MAF.

Hi Doug. the low reading I think is normal but the high is low as should go up to 600 approx from reading these forums. This is where I am at. I'd do a resistance check here from information in other threads. I believe if two of the three are 34m ohms from new, as they age that resistance drops. I see when they pass 20MM ohms, or lower it can be considered they are on the way out as well.
can you disconnect and test drive as you will get one error, but will you get another error perhaps if not tthis may be a way of potentially eliminating the maf as well.

Hi All
Has anyone tried the more reasonable MAF sensors from Ebay they seem very reasonable to me at these prices i would not mind keeping one as a spare in the shed eg.

I think the consensus is genuine vs clone from all the reading i have done. I just ordered from island 4x4 in uk for 120+ au delivered for the vdo brand. Having said this, i usually try out the clones but not this time. Why carry a spare as just is unplug given the ecu has the backup for you in this case.

Hi All
After searching through the posts I found the ohm readings for a MAF and checked mine and they were way out.
Pins 1-2 16.9 instead of 16.8
Pins 1-3 8.6 instead of 34
Pins 2-3 8.6 instead of 34
So it looks like i will be up for a new MAF I will order one from the uk this week

Hi All
MAF arrived today in and working great. Can anyone tell me the best way to adjust the waste gate either with the Nanocom or manually.
Regards
Doug
