I have the ECUMate which was reccomended to me by Mark Adams of Tornado systems. Frankly he doesn't know how they can make such a decnt unit for such little ammount!
I have found it to be extremely useful.
When comparing it with other diagnostic tools you have to compare the costs too.

Hi Gents,
for what it is worth, there is also the Rovergauge solution, which I use and love.
A little free software for your notebook, and all you need to buy from ebay is an FTDI USB-SERIAL adapter.
Just tweek it as suggested on the rovergauge website and off you go :
- Display all the sensor readings in a nice graphical window
- show and erase error codes
- allows to control IAC valve and Fuel pump for test purpose
- even able to do some logging and save the rom to file
Really great to be able to read a little what is going on inside of Lucas 14CUX prince of darkness
)
Only thing it won't allow is to change the ECU maps... so no real tuning !
Sorry, don't have the links at hand, but search for rovergauge in Google.
Cheers
Erik
