Exclamation 99 Discovery 2 Electrical BCU fault

Hey guys, having a few problems with my disco. I have tried several things in attempt to diagnose the problem.

The indicators and hazards are not working. Electric windows aren't working. But the main problem is the car isn't cranking and won't start. There is 6 beeping chimes when ignition is on.

I have checked both fuse boxes under dash and under bonnet for corrosion and blown fuses etc.

I have disconnected battery for 15 minutes

I have checked all parker/indicator bulbs (incase they are linked to the central locking)

There have been many threads on this fault but no-one has posted their resolution. I am thinking it is a fault in the BCU.

    Any help is appreciated.

Managed to get her home by leaving key in ignition and just letting her sit for quite a while. There was no beeping this time when i turned ignition into on and then she fired.

I think this was only a temporary fix and would still like to know what it is that is causing this.

Fuse box was not corroded but i am going to order another one. (Suspect one of the built in relays might be faulty..)

Does anything have to be reprogrammed if i put a different under-dash fusebox in?

I am not familuar with disco fuse box, have googled pictures, have you checked voltage at Fuse 1?? are you getting battery voltage?
It seems like you have a supply issue to that fuse box, have you checked the fuseable links at the battery???
I think FL3, actually check them all, looks like there are 13 fuseable links

MAKE SURE YOU GET EXACTLY THE SAME FUSE BOX AS THEY ARE DIFFERENT YOU WILL NEED TO CHECK THE YQE NUMBER ON THE SIDE OF YOUR FUSE BOX AND GET ONE WITH THE SAME NUMBER , THEY ARE DIFFERENT BOXES ON TD5 AND V8 AND VARY BETWEEN THE YEARS

All supply issues have been checked. But still same problem. I am pretty convinced it is a computer/electrical issue. Something going wrong with the immobilizer maybe

Thanks Outback for the post. Exactly what i was looking for.

*UPDATE* Woke up this morning and there was no 6 beeping chimes and she fired. But after a few minutes of driving there was no indicators, hazards, power windows etc. So im guessing its only a matter of time until we have the car not wanting to start again.

Pulled out the BCU and found it had a little corrosion and weak solder joints. Could this be the problem? (Can i just wack another BCU into her? or does it have to be reprogrammed/matched to the new fuse box aswell.)

BCU needs to be coded to the ECU, find a Nanocom.

I'm guessing it's something engine bay related as it seems that once it gets warm it fails. Warm = expansion = gaps in joins. Had the same issue in the xtrail, fine cold, warm up and instant faults.
