Is there an easy way to "clear" the codes from my Disco 1 ('95 gas) so the "Check Engine" light goes OUT from the Instrument panel?

Disconnect the battery and reconnect?? It used to work for me - sometimes. Obviously if the fault continues the check engine light will remain.
