G,day All.
My 130 Defender "bigcab" TD5 has started intermittent surging and going to "crawl home mode" after about 260,000 km. Turn it off and it starts and runs ok for awhile but then happens again. Seems like a fuel related problem, however I dont want to start mucking around changing stuff without electronic diagnosis. New fuel filter 5500 km's ago. Any ideas where the best place is to buy a HawkEye diagnostic tool? Overseas somewhere? Checked at RovaParts but they want nearly $700.00. I am in the Qld backwoods. Dirranbandi 4486.

i got mne from a well known place in linclon, uk, 280 quid delivered to png. its great and essential for the d2s given where my 2 of them are in the world.
once you have purchesed you get an unlock code, and once activated you can use it on any td5 defender of the same model type.
robust and simple, only thing i found was online support is no crash hot! had it 3 yeras no and use it on my td5 and v8 d2 with one unlock code!

If you have a iPad look for a x431 much cheaper and plenty of features

yes it will I have 2 one for my D2 TD5 and one for my Defender TD5 my LR mechanic friend was also quite impressed with all the functionality. once you have the unit you get the software for around $70 by brand so all LR cars and models for that price
