Scanguage 11 on D4 and 2014 RRS
Hi Folks,
Does anyone know whether the scanguage 11 will fit to the 3 litre TDV6 and SDV6 motors. The scanguage site refers to the 2.7 litre motor but no mention of the 3 litre.
My interest is for an accurate readout of engine temp and transmission temp. Can these outputs be achieved?
Also the location for the ODB ports, I presume that there is one in the cabin somewhere, maybe near fuses? Is hooking up a scanguage likely to upset or be harmful to the electrickery of these cars?
Cheers, Alan

Plugged a Scanguage II in to my D4 SDV6.
You'll get water temp, volts, rpm, kph, intake air temp, all the basic stuff.
Nothing for transmission temp.
The OBD port is under the dash near your right knee.

Sometimes some one publishes the codes for you to enter to set up various displays
It may be worth contacting scangauge. to see if one exists for what you want for the D4
Good luck

I have searched the www and haven't found any codes that let me add extra parameters to the Scanguage for my LR D4

I've not been able to find any additional codes that work with my D3. That said, I'm still trying as they are laborious to enter.
You can expect all the standard obd2 outputs which are useful and a very good trip computer. If you're after alarms take a look at ultraguage.
I have mine on a suction mount on the rhs of the windscreen under my phone mount. My cable routes down under the door seal and under the dash so it is not visible but reasonable easily movable to the other car.

I did find that the trip computer functions on the Scan Guage never got close to the same numbers as the LR trip computer.
LR computer very good at underestimating fuel consumption -generally by 15%.
LR speedo 7-8% higher than Scan Guage and Tom Tom GPS.

They exist for other cars I was hoping they would for LR as well, sorry about that
I have a scan gauge 2 as well which I used for a pajero and had entered a number of additional monitors
I have not tried it on the d4, not sure if worth the effort.

This will have been covered and buried in a thread someplace but where can you get a list of the fault codes and what they mean?
I don't have a code scanner yet but considering one, this one seems reasonable.
any better units? Price concious obviously.

There is an iPhone app called fuzzy codes which gives explanation I believe
I have not used it though but may be worth a look

Peter, buy an iidtool is my recommendation. Easy to use, verbose faults, excellent features and best of all supported by some really helpful and knowledgable Canucks.
Here's how my scangauge looks fitted. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1426223614.968740.jpg
