    Nanocom Evo not detecting key

    I've spent hours with my Nanocom Evo trying to program a key fob for my 1999 Discovery V8. Everything goes well until I reach Key Detect and the key isn't detected and will not unlock/lock or start the vehicle. My other key fob works OK and is detected. I checked the RF and that finds my fob. I've posted on the Nanocom forum but no solutions yet. I'm not sure what to try next - any ideas out there?

    It's definitely the correct frequency of the 2 that the Disco2 used?

    I assumed that if the RF check detected the key that it must be the right frequency (315mhz) but I could be wrong.

    x2 Most likely the new key that you have has a 433Mhz transmitter.
    1999 models used 315Mhz.

    IMO that RF test is to check the receiver not the fob, and 315 is general frequency for NAS but used in Australia too but 433 is quite common in Australia and afaik it's VIN dependent, dont you know what frequency is your working fob?

    I wondered if the fobs were 315 mhz or 433mhz but I assumed that if I could sync the new fob it would be the same frequency as the original fob.The fob I'm trying to get to work came with the car as a non working spare. Is there any way I can check to see what frequency the two fobs are?

    A locksmith that does car remotes and keys should be able to test the remote for you and advise the frequency.
