I've been discussing in another thread a problem with the 2.4 Puma fuel system, it appears that a VCV needs to be replaced followed by running a 'pump learn'. Can anyone tell me if this function can be performed with the Nanocom Evolution? Mine is in transit to Cyprus for repair at present but I'd like to know whether this should wait til the nanocom comes back or if I'll need to take it to a dealer anyway.
Hiya POD
I just answered that same question on the group buy Thread from a potential Nanocom Purchaser who asked
To which I repliedCan any tell me if the nanocom can re-learn a fuel pump/ Suction Control Valve on a 2.4 Puma engine?
Unfortunately that rather advanced function is not provided on the Nanocom.
We have however recently added coverage of the later 2.2 Litre engine, injector coding and are just beta testing Pilot correction learning on the Puma Engine Management module without increasing it's AUD 66 cost.
We also freely added coverage of the later Bosch CAN BUS based ABS system to the Defender module which covers all other ECU's on any Model or Year of Defender besides the Engine Management and also costs only AUD 66.
It is however a function that is provided on our flagship Faultmate MSV-2 system.
So I am afraid you are going to need to get this done at a dealer.
