Rambo,
I think this may be a USA-only specification, or so I read recently. I nearly pulled the seat out looking for it on my '96 disco!

Not Applicable to Aus spec vehicles.
OBD connector is located under drivers lower dash panel.
Cheers
but do 94 have ODB?????
I have a 3 door so to get to the fridge sitting on the rear seat I have to pivot the front seat forward....I found an empty stubby![]()
Seriously...I don't think our "Fred Flintstone" models had them.![]()

Ex 300Tdi Disco:
Anything that has an decent sized ECU ( V8 multi point injection - 300 TDi with EDC or EGR, ABS SRS etc ) has an On Board Diaganostic connector of some description - the trouble is that in Australia you need somthing like Rovacom to read it. Even the plugs are hard to get. Not long ago Jaycar (and others) had a kit so you could monitor some (not all) OBD outputs with LED readouts on various vehicles. They even had a plug for OBDII ( 2nd gen standard connector located as stated above in most vehicles in Australia post 96?). As to whether or not you can find a plug and kit to suit 1st gen LR type systems, I don't know.
I'm more fortunate than One_iota: I looked thru my Disco when I first got it and found $10 in loose coins scattered here and there.
thanks well the problem im trying to find is my car surges and idles rough even when sitting it been 2 mechanics twice and still no go this started happening after a big back fire. so far ive had the injectors cleaned, major service and tune, replaced the leads, spark plugs, rotor button and air filter but it still doing it..
could it be a leak somewhere or an O2 sensor??
I'm looking into this at the moment. Am probably going to get a ScanGauge II from the US, which should fit DII V8. I'll let you know how it goes.
Have you had the MAF checked? You did mention backfire. Just a thought...

Sounds like a good place to start. The mechanics should pick that if told about the back fire.Originally Posted by Pierre
Have you got a mate nearby? Try another one in your car if possible.
