its a thousand dollars before you hit duty levels... which at the prices is only 2 units per package (but the postage will be a killer for several in a box.) you need to ask for a decent price but sent in units of 2 to come in under the $1000 mark, and invoiced in units of 2 also.. they should be able to do it for you tho... may up the postage a bit... we could also group by area too (ie WA)

    Thanks

    5teve,

    Thanks for that.

The price I have for 5 delivered (in one parcel) is a fraction under 1000 pounds....

With the exchange rate as of last night, that is $2225

That works out at just under $450 each....

but that is subject to exchange rates,

an increase in postage costs if they are sent two at a time,

and Internal postage costs within Australia (possibly other factors too)

I have ordered one already for my self, which is on the way and am happy to order a few for people, but I dont want to be messed about, and I dont want to mess about my uk supplier either!

Has anyone done a group buy before on here that has any tips!?

    Pete

a thousand Dollars is the limit not pounds..

i would of thought the increase in postage would of been fairly small? as royal mail are trying their hardest now to screw you on the weight and size of them?

if we group them together by area im sure internal postage costs arent an issue as we can drop off / pick up etc... i know there are several people around me and i dont mind couriering the unit to them... of being a pick up point.. (the advantage of perth being fairly small!)

never done a group buy.. but i think negotiating an aulro discount should be fairly straightforward surely? we want to buy x amount.. but need them delivering in 2's and invoiced in 2's?

im sure someone will pipe up anyway!

    Thanks

    Steve

    West Australians

Well, I'm in West Australia and was thinking of buying one of these in the next week or so to cure Three Amigoes problems, so I'm definitiely interested in a group buy with other WA folks.
