    Hi DEFENDERZOOK,

    here is some average figures:
    - each unit cost is 200.00 GBP = 435.825 AUD
    - delivery depends from mail type/company 40-60 GBP = 87-130 AUD
    - some banks (or all of them) take currency convertion charge

so the best price comes to 522.99 AUD + bank charge.

    Cheers,
    Ruslan

I'd be interested in a Sydney order also.
Sounds like a handy piece of kit.

Someone got an email from me today
That means I'll probably be in the Sydney order.

Just in case anyone needs assisting in convincing... I described it as "like a set of spanners for the ECU"

Chucaro - I am lead to believe that generic type of scanners can't do everything (anything?) with the td5 ECU.
    Aha! Anyonetried this OBD Scanner?

isnt the nancom more like a set of spanners for the ecu'S

from what they say it looks like it will talk to all of the td5 computers!

we'll all be able to praise or cry in a few weeks anyway

    Thanks

They're working on the BCU for the D2. Other ecus not yet mentioned are ACE, auto gbox, Climate Control and instruments (eg testing temp and fuel gauges). I can't think of any more.

In another forum some members are starting to fit this gadget in the dash of the TD5 but I do not have an idea if it is good for diagnostics. Seems to me that it is more like a monitoring system

I looked at this one some time back and came to the conclusion that it only allows access the the engine ecu (ecu 0 IIRC), so even if it worked on a TD5 it would only be for the engine, not any other ecu eg SLABS on the D2. Other software can drive the Elmscan 5 but only addressing the engine ecu.
I was going to get to a distributor here in Aus to see to what extent it worked on mine but lost interest due to no access to SLABS. I very much doubt that it would reset the immobiliser in the D2's ecu, whereas Nanocom does.
