Is there anyone on the forum in Canberra who can clear codes - L series diesel freelander - should be the same as a TD5.

    Thanks

    I am open to offers.

I know Scanguage works on it which also works on a TD5.

    Hi Garry,

Have you actually tried Scanguage with DiscoTD5?
I have seen posts that say Scanguage only works with V8 model & will not read or clear error codes on TD5.

    new version!

Ok, well, that takes it to 27 on the map now.

You can download the latest version here: AULROian Electronic Diagnostics Map

Although I could make the location points used in the map available (as it's all done in GIS), I'd rather not, since the data quality is poor once you start zooming in - eg. for those locations not on the 1:2.5M map, it's me taking pot shots of "yeah, about 5km north-ish of wherever". It's really more a case of "this is roughly where the town is", rather than a geocoded street address. The other consideration is that some of us on the map would generally prefer be contacted before someone drops by .

[Mods - you might like to remove the previous map from the files section to avoid confusion ]

The simple answer is no. I was looking at getting a scanguage to use on my Freelander and contacted the makers in the US and two distributors in Aust - I was assured by all of them that Scanguage II worked on both the Freelander and TD5 as they were OBDII compliant.

This thread also indicates Scanguage II works on TD5 Defender so should not be an issue on the Disco.

I it does v8 D2s and post 99 p38s, but doesnt do the pre 99 Gems p38s and D1s until i spend another 495 on an upgrade card. Even then it only does the engine side, no abs srs etc. It does everything else though, from a X5 to a commodore.
