    New nanocom

    Hey All

    Thought I would let people know that I now have a Nanocom unit. I am in
    Melbourne and am happy to help people out with diagnostics and fault code
    clearing. I cleared my codes today and came up with the following -

    * 1-7 EGR vacuum modulator
    * 3-7 Air flow circuit
    * 15-2 high speed crank
    * 20-4 EGR valve stuck open
    * 20-5 EGR valve stuck close
    * 22-1 road speed missing
    * 28-7 topside switch
    * 31-2 injector 2 open

    I have been searching for info on what these could mean and how to resolve
    the problem. I dont think the codes on my disco have been fully cleared in
    3 years so these may be old codes. Anywhere know where to get further
    information?

    Overall, this is a handy little unit. I spent some time today running the
    test option on most of the major systems. Everything comes up ok which is a
    mild relief.

    Cheers

    Hey mate

    I bought it from Karcraft - they have it listed as a tool in their catalogue.

    The unit was $550 with $25 delivery I think. It wasnt through a group buy. Tried to get on the AULRO group buy band wagon late and then got sick of waiting! The group buy was for something like $465 delivered.

    So it cost about $100 more but I needed to get my hands on one for an upcoming trip. Ordered it on a Thursday and it was deliver the next day! And it works a treat. Had to buy a Usb-serial port adapter for $60 to connect it to the laptop and download the latest firmware, but so far Im happy with my purchase.

    Cheers
