    First blow with the Faultmate

    My Faultmate showed a fault with the fan speed on the engine ECU, I did a bit of checking for the obvious first...........apparently that's the way to begin, low and behold there were broken wires from the sensor at the front of the thermostatic fan............victory

    Pulled the plug to pieces and resoldered the joints and next week I will retest

    Hi Ron,

    I live on the outer fringes of the metro area so dealers/independents are not far away. I must say though I was not aware that the fan wasn't working until I was alerted to a problem so it may have gone unnoticed for some time
