    ABS Amigo New box

    Hi all
Any body had any experience with this product, If its good I would like to purchase it, squealing brakes and lights is a rather common problem for me.

Any help would be much appreciated

Is there any body on the Gold Coast with a nanocom who could turn my light off, $45 a pop is starting to hurt.

    Baffle,

I notice that yours is V8.... Nanocom is TD5 specific.

That said I can't see why it shouldn't still talk to the SLABS ECU. ( I never tried min on a V8.. I guess Pete might help us find out )

Reading about the ABS Amegio... they want near US$200 plus delivery..

That's close to half what a Nanocom would cost that does SO much more than just resetting the 3 amigoes.!

Im not sure if the scanguageII will do the ABS as well - but it's a similar price and will do all your engine codes etc - similar to the Nanocom I believe. Might be worth looking into.

That said I have never used one - the only diagnostic tool I've had hands on experience with is the Nanocom.

    Cheers, Mark

    Thanks Bytemrk,
Anything electronic (including this computer) is a bad area for me to dabble in, all the info I can get on the right product to purchase helps me out.
I'll look up this little box you are talking about

Well spotted. I cant do it if its a v8. I have already tried to access the BCU/ABS stuff on a v8 as a test and it wont let you initalize the ecu.

Sorry Mark. Will pm you back too.

No worries.... I haven't looked into the scangauges much - so they may not suit your needs... but it just seemed to me th unit you were looking at wasnt so cheap if it only did the ABS.

That said $45 a hit doesnt take long to pay back $200 either!

    Good luck with it.
