May be a problem with Vista? I updated mine using XP with no problems.

I think it runs on XP not Vista. BUT, Ive had the same problem with the bootloader. Contact Landy Andy, he has the Boot loader. Bump a post for you.

    Peter and Nick.
Have your Nanocoms failed whilst loading 2.05,ie you are no longer able to use/start them???
This was the case with mine, pretty sure Zutes was the same.
If so you need to reprogramme the boot sector.Ive got a reprogammer from Mattia at Nannocom and can do it for you.Only a 10min job,you will need to send me your nannocom and a reply paid sachel.

    Thumbs up Nanocom problem

Many thanks to all for the replies. I have now fixed the problem with trial and error as follows for anybody else who gets this error message.

Connect powered stand alone Nanocom to pc , wait till pc recognizes connection, Nanocom at this stage is displaying 'press any button to start' well DON'T press any button on Nanocom instead go to your previously downloaded update and right click and install. Everything will then work fine. The problem only seems to occur after you do the 'press any button' thing on the Nanocom. Have since tested on vehicle and all is well.

    Regards and happy motoring.

OK we have big problems now, tried to download the new firmware, it got almost all the way then came up with the bootloader error again.

Trouble now is it has frozen the Nanocom device itself and the message says press any key or connect me... press any but it won't work at all and not only that it has deleted the original 2.03v

    Any ideas people

    Baz.

    Hi Nick
Did you end up getting the new upgrade installed or is it still running the original version???? Check when you start the in car display,it tells you the version on start-up.I did get mine back like you said, but it was still Ver03,mine then froze when trying again like Redbacks has.
Let me know,if it isnt the latest upgrade try again and if it freezes happy to sort it as I have offered to Redback.

Hi Andrew, thanks heaps for this, Kerry has sent it registered post, but without a return envelope, let us know how much to post it back and we'll transfer the money into your account.

I owe you a couple of beers too for the trouble

    Baz.
    Cheers Baz.
