Without having seen one I would suspect that the primary things it won't do are:
Interface with Wabco SLABS or Wabco-D
Interface with Lucas Td5 ECM
Interface with Vaelo BCU or Lucas 10AS
All of which is why you buy a Nanocom or FaultMate for a D2 or Defender with a Td5. If you have a V8 D2 then it may well work with the Petrol ECM to clear faults but that may not even be the case. The problem is most tools like this are developed for the USA market and the European cars they refer to do not include diesels and also does not include the ancillary ECU's in the vehicle.
That said I could be completely wrong, but it will also not have as much diagnostic capability as Nanocom using the computer interface as this will give you a lot more realtime data.
Of course if you can afford the $76.29 and want to get one and let us all know if it works or not
