Need to make use of a Nanocom

I'm hoping somebody might be able to help me out, i need to use a Nanocom to re-sync my key with my series 2 disco. It seems the equipment used by workshops only allows the use of the full barcode which i don't have, but i've read that the nanocom lets you use the six characters found inside the fob.

So if somebody is able to lend me a hand and share their nanocom for a 15mins, I'll be happy to give you some cash or some other form of remuneration for the service. I live in Cranbourne West, which is south-east of Melbourne, so the closer the better i guess.

I only have the one key, so it's really annoying having to turn it twice to unlock all the doors. And i've had to use the EKA code a couple of times due to disconnecting the battery...

I'm a bit worried the barrel in the handle is gonna get worn out

I have one, but Carlton is a long way to come, but you are welcome to if you could be bothered.

Thanks Fraser, I might end up making the trip, (maybe drop in on my way to somewhere else).

Have you re-synced keys before? I presume the thing can talk to a V8 body computer?? I assume it's just the engine bits that are different?

I would be surprised if it works on a V8, I think the Nanocom needs the TD5 ECU to start with, but I'm happy to try it.
There is a place down the road from me that I'm sure could do it for a small fee if you came here during the day, and it didn't work.

    Cheers,
