So did anyone spot whether these G wagons had rear leaf springs and rear drum brakes, as previously reported by Blknight? I am amazed they would do that when the civvy version has coils and discs. If they have changed there must be a sound technical reason to do so IMO.

Sorry to ruffle feathers by mentioning mercs on this forum, I know it might be a sensitive subject, but I thought general chat would be fine. Unfortunately I could not get close enough to see if they had leaf springs or not, there was a wire fence in the way.

I trust you're going to hand in your paparazzi membership after you didn't get any images despite the sign.

PS I was only having a lend about the no Merc threads, some people don't know when to laugh!

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

You know yesterday I was accused of treason for suggesting that someone use Toyota Land Cruiser studs on a trailer, today I'm pedantic when I type Land Rover myopia in jest!

Some people need to laugh a little more often........

I Should start seeing a few thru my door here in WA shortly as I believe we are doing pre delivery on the WA vehicle pool and any warranty, however being mil vehicles will most likely be bound by agreement like we are with the MOG's we already do.

This has probably been explained already, but are they selling the surplus Land Rovers to trhe public? And if so, where can we find details?[ who do I have to bribe] Bob
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

Move down the centre of the bus!

You there sir, yes you Bob, get to the back of the queue!

Plenty more people camped on the footpath waiting for tickets before you!

BTW: No they are not up for auction yet, we're all waiting!

    ... don't be deterred bob10 -

... highest offer beats anyone in the queue (it'll be an auction you see)

... & who knows how few or many buyers will even want one ??

Yeah those army rovers, POS. Unreliable, back breakingly rough, factor in a kidney transplant in the price. Need pop-eye's arms to steer one too. If your tooth fillings aren't well attached you'll be swallowing them.
Plus most of them have only 2 doors and no roof.
They have a 0-60km/h time of around two weeks if you can keep the fuel up to it, the army are still measuring the 0-100km/h time.
Not so bad I guess if you're used to walking everywhere, because not much will change. You'll still walk everywhere. They do have room for a bicycle in the back for when you want to get somewhere faster than walking.

Thats the truth, sure it is, back me up here someone...
