    The way I see it, PAT303's post was the one that brought things into perspective.

    Most of us are aware that some Land Rovers have the occasional reliability problem. Many of us know that some of the general public think Land Rovers are so unreliable that it should be cause for wild celebrations when one of them makes it home after a trip to the local supermarket.

    PAT303 just reminded us that other brands can have quite serious and expensive reliability problems too.

    1973 Series III LWB 1983 - 2006
    1998 300 Tdi Defender Trayback 2006 - often fitted with a Trayon slide-on camper.
