    New PC12NG Pics

Hi folks, these pics were taken over Robe SA October last year. This aircraft is one of five (new)ferried accross from the Pilatus factory in Switzerland over a 6 month period. Photo ship is a Squirrel helicopter, I have some dodgy phone pics of the Squirrell which I will post shortly also. Interesting to see other airfcraft deliberately that close when its not an every day occurrence (for us non Airforce types anyway)

Just after this sorty I left for Zurich to bring back VH-FVF, the final of the order.

I may do trip report if anyone is interested.

    Cheers

Yes, all five for Central Operations Section. These are part of our fleet replacement/ upgrade programme.
2 of the older aircraft have already been decommissioned and sold to the US for freight duties. A 3rd is undergoing a strip out of the medical equipment and will likely go to the same US base. The remaining 2 of the older aircraft are still operational, but should cease ops within the next 4 months.
All 5 of the new aircraft are now fully fitted out and operational.

    cheers

Lovely pictures. I miss flying the PC12s. I stopped flying them in 2004 - before the NG arrived at Westops (I was based in KG) so never got to play with them.
