Thats one of the funniest videos Ive seen for a while!

The Volksy in the tower mustve been huge to sit like that! The fact they fly so well without any real wings/tail is impressive!

And the one at 2.15 has a very very large back window and very modern front for a WW2 VW!!

But entertaining thought... capable of air land and water... awesome!

Actually you might argue that the Australian boffins were also experimenting with the same 'secret technology' in the 1960's

similar results to the germans tests apparently with the tail first flight attitude

    EDIT...
The Germans finally made a flying car.
Heres a Flying Opel / (Holden Astra)
(If they sell the technology to Tata we might not have to worry about the 500mm wading depth in the next Defender )

To get a bit closer to the core of this forum - I remember reading an article at the time (1963) that the Rover 2000 (P6) was introduced. One evening, one of their engineers took a prototype home as part of the testing. While giving it a run he attempted a hump backed bridge at the car's maximum speed, resulting in a take-off from the crest of the bridge. It was found that the car was a little nose heavy, so it landed nose first. However, being one of the early cars to have a collapsible front end (copied from Citroen) and full seat belts, the driver survived.
