    Either way, I'm sure the bright minds in the aero world could come up with technological strategies to prevent the ability to lose a plane again, and likewise I'm sure the companies have the ability to come up with procedural strategies to protect the pilots and flights and likewise the airlines with cockpit construction and security. Mind you, nothing probably changed after Sept 11 either.

    It's been too long and is too deep to retrieve any data, bodies or personal effects.
    From the evidence and data available a probable scenario has been developed. No further data is retrievable, ergo, nothing new will be learnt.
    After more than ten years, no human remains will be left, so there will be no more closure than there was weeks after the event. Repeated searches are only going to be painful reminders for the relatives left behind.
    The only reason I can see for finding the site, is Malaysian government pride and bugger the grief it will cause the victims' families.
