I saw an interesting aeroplane friday arvo flying up the main channel towards Jacobs Well, around mast height.
It was probably 2place, amphibious , pusher prop and was staggerwing (biplane for those not in the know) and had numerical registration something like 24-4774...thats not the numbers though.
I had a search but found nothing, anybody seen anything like it? It may be experimental.

I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food
A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking
There are quite a lot of amphibian kit planes. The one you saw might be one of the biplane amphibians are below;
H.S. Aircraft SeaStar 912
Quikkit Glass Goose. Specifications. A photo.
Try a google image search with different search terms to see what maybe shakes loose. There are bound to be photo's of aircraft at various angles.

SUPER-PETREL.EU
yes , I noted the Super Petrel. Traced it back locally to Warwick in Qld , where I guess it was going to be produced or offered as a kit.
Tried to track down parent company but hit dead ends.
The Petrel and the Seastar look very similar.
The aeroplane I saw may have been either but an Australian ownership and registration search failed to help me.

						... Let's hope that the relevant govt dept doesn't read this Forum...and ping the poor pilot for flying at the rrong altitude or place...
or simply 'flying'.
I still want one when I win LOTTO...
...being an amphibious aeroplane he need only suggest that he was doing a precautionary search....
