    irish linen/dope

any of you aeroplane afficianados know where I can get some irish linen tape and some dope or appropriate product to stipple it down with?

for some reason I'm thinking we used stag jointing compound on the wing roots for the porters back in the 80's.

you reading Harry? you should know.

Small quantities of dope should be available from any aeromodelling shop. I used to sell it out of mine.

Ceconite is the covering material now used on aircraft instead of Irish linen. Basically it’s just a nylon material.
