Perhaps your interpretation of corrupt doesn’t align with mine:

I’d rate him morally depraved Perhaps I like Elon Musk after all... unscrupulous, immoral.

Elon from what I can see, appears to be what’s referred to as a “Blue Sky” thinker.

His ideas and concepts, like many others in his position, push the boundaries of our world. Usually these people are quite eccentric. As long as they have good people working for them to solve the challenges posed, there can be some amazing outcomes.

Elon Musk reminds me of Steve Jobs and Henry Ford. Obsessed visionaries, prepared to be obnoxious to realise their visions, not likeable at all, anti-social, use other people, but they make things happen. Jobs slept on a mattress on the floor of an empty mansion because the furniture stores didn't stock furniture that met his standards.
John Cadogan is a mechanical engineer, so does know a lot more technical stuff than the average motoring journo. His vids are promotions for his business, which is fine, everyone does it. He's deliberately loud mouth to get attention. We're talking about him, so its working.
Hyundai and Kia give him cars to review so they obviously think he sells vehicles for them.
I know his review of the Kia Carnival was spot on because our oldest son has one and everything he said about it was true. We have a Mazda 2 and his comments about Mazdas seem accurate.
He's an entertainer, focussed on cars, just like Clarkson was on Top Gear. Like it or not, it's rarely boring. No-one is forced to watch.

Any educated person who hasn’t used their training starts to lag behind.

His LinkedIn profile suggests he hasn’t worked in his field of study (1989) for 3 decades.

Engineer or any form of education doesn’t mean squat if you aren’t demonstrating it regularly.

    Hmm

Musk did OK, it seems. Surprised me. I can admit I was wrong. I do.

Oh, yes, grow up. He did. I won't ever accept all he does, but DiscoMick can laugh.... Bloke is worth some thought.
