    Helicopter rotor head

    There are many different types of rotor heads and control systems. This video shows very clearly what happens with this Aerospatiale AS 350 control system. The Yanks call these machines an "A Star", in Australia a "Squirrel". The system uses a lot of composite materials, and also rotates in the opposite direction to American built helicopters. The basic principle applies to all conventional helicopters.
