Thread: Ooops moments...

Family member started a new FIFO job last month. First flight out, and after a long delay in departure "lounge" they were told their 'plane had a a defect in "..one of the computers", so had to wait a few hours for it's replacement.

Turns out, #1 was sitting at the gate, pilot on board... start cart plugged in... but no chocks around the gear. Windy in Perth at pre-dawn, and guess who forgot to set the park- brake ?

Took a several metres before Biggles looked up and noticed the view receeding and dragging said cart with it.
Computer Malfunction sounds more professional than.... pulled out power socket...
- His camp airstrip ARO told him today...

Same jinxed bloke.

Now at a Kalgoorlie site. Had to stay back to train a replacement for his predecessor, as that bloke 'departed early'....
Supposed to fly back to Perth yesterday, but nope. Low clouds kept the Fokker far away. Alas same excuse this morning. So he's flying back on a COACH. One bus from minesite to Merriden, change to another for back to Perth.
So far, he's running late.

Did I mention he's a minesite BUS Driver ?
