    FL1 front drive shafts

    Hi i was wondering why the front drive shaft has oil in the gater nearest the gearbox, i regreased mine, wanted to know by filling it up with molly gease would it be a problem.

    Huh?????

    I thought they were all filled with CV grease. I have had all of my shafts out at one stage or another but never had to replace a CV. The spare outer CV I have does have grease.

    To answer your question - I though grease is the way to go.


    Ps - how would the oil get in anyway? - certainly not from the gearbox.

    they seemed to be filled with a thick oil, i cleaned em up and filled back up with grease, il see how i go.

    Yes it is grease. The grease can go oily when it breaks down
