    speedo / ABS problems

the speedo / odometer stopped working on my series 1 freelander a few months ago , so I ordered a new ABS / Speedo sensor for it which arrived today and has been fitted to the drivers side (was told thats the wheel the speedo drives off??) but to no avail, my ABS light is also on and has been for ages, was told (by a so called reputable QLD rover dealer) that this was cos of a faulty sensor in the front wheel.

the new sensor failed to fix either of these, so im at a loss now... any suggestions before i go buy a box of matches?

The ABS unit calculates the speed from all 4 speed sensors, it only needs 1 to measure speed. You will need to get a diagnostic computer on it to see if it is a ABS problem or a instrument cluster problem.
