Thread: Coolant loss

I have a 2001 FL KV6 which has been chewing through a bit of coolant, not a huge amount but it goes from full to fill every couple of weeks. Today I took the cover off the engine and I can see a lovely red puddle in the valley. Any ideas where the leak might be?

Thermostat and piping to it. They are plastic ans always leak.
Have a look at this post as there are alloy pipes and thermostat available for a KV6 in a Rover/MG but Joe was going to fit them to a Freelander.

I dont know how he went fitting as they are slightly different but having work on them both it should only be removing the plastic hose ends on the radiator hoses.
PM Joe and ask where he got them from and how much.
