			Stalling 2001 KV6

Wonder of someone can enlighten me on the possible problem that is causing a very intermittent stalling issue with my KV6. I have only had this issue a couple of times but it has always been on a long run and on a warm day.

When driving along the car suddenly loses power and eventually stalls. Leave it for 2 or 3 minutes and it starts again with no problem (you can rev the engine to your hearts content). When you actually set off again it does the same thing, especially under load (if you start going up a hill or push your foot down hard).

Strangely (and I don't know if this is coincidence), Twice I have stopped at a servo and filled the car with fuel and the problem was resolved! Both times the car was far from low on fuel with at least a 1/4 tank full.

Definitely feels like the car is starving for fuel, but maybe someone has another suggestion?

					Fuel pump is a possibility.
I had similar symptoms, defied diagnosis by the mechanic so I told him to humor me and drop the fuel tank.
Got the phone call later saying they couldn't believe how much crap was in the tank, pump was corroded and full of some sort of gritty sludge.
When I saw it I couldn't believe the car ran at all.
Replaced the pump and flushed the tank, never another problem.
